As an Independent Company we set extremely high standards and are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors.

All of our staff who deal with funeral arrangements are qualified with the National Associations Diploma and have the benefit of many years experience.

The current family members of Phillip Oxley, Julie and Bruce have over 90 years with the firm between them. Julie is one of the countries few women funeral directors and was one of the first in the area.

P. G. Oxley Ltd has two fully staffed offices and private Chapels of Rest at Walton-on-the-Naze and Frinton-on-Sea.

We also employ our own skilled tradesmen on the building side of the business covering all aspects of the construction industry.

Whilst proud of our long history, traditional standards and Independent status, P. G. Oxley Ltd has developed it’s services over the years to move with the times and offer a full range of facilities including Golden Charter Pre-payment Funeral Plans.

Golden Charter

Acting as the local representative for Golden Charter, P. G. Oxley Ltd are able to offer anyone the means of pre-paying for their funeral arrangements. Golden Charter offers guaranteed acceptance, a fixed price and peace of mind.

Golden Charter is one of the founding members of Funeral Planning Council and works alongside local independent funeral directors. All information is available upon request at either of our offices.
